Amy rises through the ranks
Congratulations are in order for our former student Amy Harris who has been promoted to the position of Soloist for the Australian Ballet Company's 2011 Season. Amy has risen steadily through the ranks since joining the company in 2002. She was promoted to the position of Coryphee in 2007 and was awarded the Telstra People's Choice Award in 2008 and again in 2010.
Amy has generously offered her time and expertise to support, nurture and guide the students of COSB during our 2011 Summer School program. We are privileged to have Amy back at her Ballet School and look forward to more of Amy's visits during the year!
Congratulations Amy from all at COSB.

Alexandra off to the Australian Ballet School
Congratulations to Alexandra McMaster from the Carole Oliver School of Ballet who has taken the next steps to achieving her goal of becoming a Professional Ballet Dancer after being accepted into the Australian Ballet School.
Alex has been dancing since she was four and being accepted into the Australian Ballet School had been one of her dreams. She is a hard working, dedicated and extremely talented dancer.
Alex auditioned with hundreds of others from Australia and New Zealand for a place in the school before being selected to go through the final process.
This involved three days of intensive training and interviews before final selections were made last week.
Alex will attend the school in Melbourne from next year.
